There is a huge market right now for Federal Contractors, and new companies spring up by the day to fill these federal positions. In most if not all cases these contractors are working for a third to half of what the Government is actually paying these companies for the position. Make it easier to hire "qualified applicants" in lieu of government employees who have status.
I have no problem with additional points that are given to past/present military personnel... but status points given to government employees needs to stop! Too many government employees are complacent and lazy.
It is amazing how many agencies (and even duty stations) utilize different systems for hiring individuals. I've submitted for jobs several jobs and have been required to submit several different profiles on several different systems. It is just wasteful to be so redundant when the systems all ask the same information.
