A lot of traffic with the Social Security office has to do with getting replacement Social Security cards. Charge a nominal $1 fee for a replacement card. This will ensure more accountability.

Create a new box just like the one already on the tax forms that allow individuals to contribute to the presidential reelection fund--the new box would be "debt elimiation". All monies going to this would be to reduce and eventually eliminate the debt.
As an employee of SSA we get alot of clients that call each day for benefit verification letters. My idea is that we make the benefit verification letters open to the public via the ssa.gov website. This would cut down on paper, mailings as well as calls to the 800# for this information. The public would be able to access this information theirselves and at there own time and cost.
Example: $674 x 4 = $2,696/mo Why when these families are getting medical, food, & housing, etc. assistance?
Offset monthly benefits when the family gets free health insurance, SNAP, Section 8 housing, etc. just like when adults receive state assistance.
