Veterans to lecture to high (junior) high stud.on illegal drugs.

Veterans that have graduated from the rehab. drug program should be allowed to lecture to junior/senior high students on the bad effects of illegal drugs. The veterans that participate in this program should be paid by the federal government minimal wage for that day. There are many veterans that are in need of a meaningful job like this.

Eliminate the high fares the govt contracts for with the airlines. All government employees should be able to fly on government business utilizing the cheepest flight available. Also, Motel 6 is as good as the Sheraton. Renegotiate with lower end hotels for conferences.

The money that is wasted in most years due to the uncertainty, inability to plan ahead and waiting caused by the failure of Congress to pass the budget before the beginning of the fiscal year far exceeds the waste and abuse that the SAVE Award ideas address.
