I see advertisements for public assistance programs everywhere it seems and I can't seem to understand the logic behind it. There is no competition and the necessary contact information is in the phone book, if you still use one, as well as online.
Instead of Privatized Housing offices getting a Service Members full BAH allowance, prior to this all available housing should be reviewed and analized by Federal Governement Housing Officers to compare the quality of housing available on every installation to those in the immediate civilian sector. There is an average amount (or more appropriately, percentage of the maximum) employees spend on travel expenses. This amount is almost certainly extremely close to the maximum allowed (or 100%), and certainly not the minimum possible. Situation: Under current rules when a person is approved for Social Security Disability or Supplemental Security Income benefits they are automatically scheduled for a medical review in 3, 5, or 7 years. As an agency we save $7 dollars for every $1 we spend completing such reviews. Eliminate welfare for farmers, it keeps our prices unreasonably high and allows the farmers to sit around doing nothing while their fields sit fallow.
As there is this big push to get out of regulating business. Let's get rid of the Patent & Trademark Office. If business is so good at self regualting and policing, let them handle these issues themselves as well! This is not something the government should be involved in.
