Incoming faxes can be automatically turned into a .pdf and sent to an email account or department inbox for action. Between VA Education/Compensation and Pension/Veterans Service Centers and hospitals, this could save 15-20 million each year in paper and fax machine costs. If successful with the VA, other federal agencies could impliment the same.
Switch to Gmail to reduce the need for regional information technology offices. Store email information using cloud computers based at federal facilities to increase security.
