The federal government is bankrupt. The assets of the federal government should be used to cover its liabilities. All federal land from land management agencies within the Department of Agriculture and Department of Interior should be turned over to the states to fund the Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid liabilities. Cut to the Constitution

Require all federal agencies to turn in to Congress a one page document explaining what article(s) of the Constitution authorizes their existence. Eliminate those agencies that do not have clear and specific authorization in the Constitution.

Follow Constitution

The most novel idea of all - Follow the Constitution.

 

The federal government has 100s of agencies that are not authorized by the Constitution. Disolve at least some of these agencies, if not all of them, and the savings received would be tremendous.

 

If the Constitution doesn't authorize the federal government to do something, it shouldn't be doing it. This is specifically stated in the 10th Amendment.
