Intelligence Community IT consolidation

Require the Intelligence Community to consolidate it's business IT systems to a common platform. Right now, CIA, NGA, NSA, NRO, and others maintain their own unique (and often un-interoperable) IT systems. This could carry-over and expand to include financial management, ERP systems, etc. The agencies will claim they have unique requirements, but they aren't so unique that we cannot resolve and consolidate these requirements... more »

Codify data support systems in procurement

We all know that procurement of goods and services for the federal government is laborious. The very nature of the job is to improve the way we spend the taxpayer dollars with little risk and fast. Post Office Should Charge for Home Delivery

It doesn't make sense that it costs money for a person to rent a box at the Post Office, but it's free to receive mail at home. In addition an increased allowance in "off the shelf" products would be beneficial. The market should be truly competitive and not a hand out.

A rental car agent asking “why do you care, it isn’t your money?” . . . That was the response to a complaint that I was being charged too much for a car while traveling on official Government... more »

Patent & Trademark Office

As there is this big push to get out of regulating business. Let's get rid of the Patent & Trademark Office. If business is so good at self regualting and policing, let them handle these issues themselves as well! This is not something the government should be involved in.

Summer Business Casual Dress Code = Less A/C

Why are federal employees expected to wear suits and ties during summer? The summer dress code for all federal workers should be changed to business casual [including golf shirts] and the ambient indoor temperature of federal office buildings should be increased 5 degrees. Employees will be more comfortable at work and commuting on mass transit, no more complaints about overly air conditioned offices, and the government... more »
