Save $500 Billion: Use 2 Shifts Not 1 for All Gov Employees

The Government could save $50 billion per year by having two shifts of white collar employees work each day. Office space costs $50,000/year for each employee yet we only use space 30% of time. We can no longer afford to have banker's hours for all. With over 2 million federal employees this cost-free paradigm change could avoid lay offs/furloughs and reduce pollution. This would cut overhead per employees in half. Savings... more »

Borrow More Money While Interest Rates Are So Low

President Reagan did it. This is the best time in history for the government to borrow more and reinvest in our infrastructure. President Reagan grew the economy and helped bring in tremendous prosperity. Let President Obama do the same.

You hear it all the time at investment seminars (for the wealthy) saying "this is the best time to borrow." The rich are borrowing and extending their debt and growing their empires... more »

Budget Roll Over..end "Spend it or Lose it" thought

Units are punished by being forced... more »

Congress must pass budget or be recalled (ammendment)

Congress is not doing their job. Challenge them to maximum time line to pass a budget before they work on any more lesislation. The budget should be passed in less than 90 days. Then if they don't pass the budget, they are all recalled and we have another election. IF THEY WILL NOT DO THEIR JOB, FIRE THEM ALL! Not that's an ammendment worth fighting for! Reduce Congressional time off so they actually work for us!

Department of Health and Human Services

Lead by Example

As the end of a fiscal year approaches, many government agencies have funds remaining in their budget. There is an impression among agencies system wide that they must ‘use or lose’ the balance or the following fiscal year their budget will be drastically reduced. An alternative that would reduce the rush to spend at the end of the fiscal year is simple; donate a percentage of the unspent funds to CFC with the balance... more »
