Unplug mobile chargers when not in use. Only 5% of the power drawn by a mobile phone charger is used to charge the phone. The rest is wasted when it is left plugged in.

Instead of giving Gov Employees a Cell phone paying for phone and service. Everyone has a cell phone just give each employee a 50 check per month to use there cell phone for work the 50 dollars is so they can upgrade to unlimited plan if they need to. Now if a employee doesn't want to participate that is fine. But I know most would and this would save a lot of money. Also, an incentive for employees. Everyone WINS!... more »

Currently agencies have a lot of cell phones, but very few have effective management of the cell phone service or the devices. Agencies buy phones and then that's it. Often agencies do not analyze their invoices to determine if all the phones are really needed or if the rates are the best value, or if some employees are using too many minutes or losing phones too often.
