Public online FOIA

Provide an online system that allows the public access to our releasable documents. This would be simialr to the ADAMs database the Nuclear regulatory Agency operates and the public document database operated by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. Kick the Can, USA!

As summer interns in the Region 9 office of the Environmental Protection Agency, it has been exciting to see that EPA practices what it preaches! One of the best sustainability initiatives in the San Francisco office is to replace personal trash bins with larger bins in communal areas of each floor. In university, each student had a 30 page quota per month, and every... more »

Green IT Waste

Like many agencies we have a warehouse of old and out of date IT hardware. Instead of being held in storage or landfill disposal, agencies should coordinate internally or if possible, throughout the federal government to collect and dispose of IT hardware using recycling centers that provide a cash value for recovered components. These centers protect and secure hardware, recycle plastic, and resell usable components... more »
