Currently IRS and the Federal Government are loosing as much $100 million or more a year from payment of fraudulently filed electronic returns. The problem seems to be that in an effort to quickly process the return, IRS pays any refund due before they compare it with any information they have available. Tax Fraud

I work for the IRS. Every day I see accounts that, because of my training, I can easily see are involved in fraud. I also get taxpayers & preparers who admit to me over the phone that the SSN they are using was bought, stolen, etc. You think there would be a way for me to report this to someone in my agency, wouldn't you? Travel Expenses

Require those who do travel submit reciepts for everything! The travel regs are too loose with "if under this amount no reciept is required". I have seen where people submit reimbursement request for items they never actually incurred because they view or feel it is an entitlement, after a while these things add up.

Reduce Employer Reporting Burden

Innovation: Simply stated, the purpose of this suggestion is to reduce the employer reporting burden for those firms having employees in multiple states. In addition, this action would reduce federal costs to process this information; reduce over payments to the unemployed; and, expedite payments to families with child support payments where the worker and the support recipient live in different states.
