Save $1.4 Billion in contracts, Eliminate mandatory PT sessions!

Eliminate mandatory PT sessions. On average 2 hours per day, 3 times a week, 52 weeks a year is given to every AF member to maintain fitness levels. By eliminating this time the Air Force would reclaim a low estimated 98,779,200 man hours annually. This figure does not include savings from medical bills from injuries, and man-hours wasted by USAF safety offices investigating sprained ankles and knee injuries.

Retire the B-1B

I LOVE the BONE, but it has no use (and my buddies fly it). In a tactical capacity, it's too big to bed-down without runway improvements, etc. Since PGM (Precision Guided Munitions) came out, it really doesn't do a role any better than an F-15E (1 bomb, 1 kill) and in a strategic role... well, I don't think we're ever going to nuke anyone but if we do we have the B-2A and ICBMs still (and TLAMS). Mandatory DRMO use

The Gov., DoD in particular has a DRMO system for liquidating or reassigning used equipment. Although the idea is good, I have noticed that the DRMO is often ignored by the DoD agencies when it comes time to acquire equipment. For one example, my base waited 2+ years & spent @ $600K to acquire a new crane.
