Going to a 40 hour work week with four ten hours days a 10/4 schedule would allow the same amount of work to get done to save money in all kinds of ways... in energy, gas (globally), highway congestion(in CONUS), lights, heating or cooling, janitorial services, security, possibly other arease as well. Wasteful airtravel

Air Force and Navy General Officer and Wing commanders waste on average 30~50K a month just to maintain their flight currency so they can continue to receive flight pay even though they will never fly a combat sorite again due to their rank and position. They add additional flight hours to combat jets, cause 2 jets to be taken out of the training cycle (need a backup jet in case the primary is borken) and burn unneeded... more »

OHA to BAH System for OCONUS

All OHA needs to switch to the BAH system. This would drive the OCONUS housing market to be more competitive, with massive benefits to the Air Force, many benefits to the service members, and even, to a lesser degree, some benefits to the local community. Members have absolutely no incentive for saving the Government money under the OHA system.

Government Waste-Landscaping

Landscaping, such as flower bed and shrub plantings, are expensive to plant and much more expensive to maintain in a sightly manner. I suggest the government stop wasting money on landscaping. If landscaping (installation and maintenance) was eliminated from government contracts, $$Million$$ would be saved. Areas such as the White House, Congress, the Supreme Court, National Monuments and Parks would be exempt. Included... more »
