A Simple Idea That Is Easy To Implement

I propose that when military members are sent TDY they be required to share quarters or hotel rooms with one other member, providing they do not have to share the same bed, are of equal rank and the same gender.

Alternate Work Schedule & Telework Mandate

With roughly two million federal civilian employees, of which 15% (~300,000+) work in the Washington DC Metro area, demand put on the daily infrastructure (I-66, I-95, etc) is substantial. Currently, most personnel would work a normal 40 hour work week (5 days x 8 hours). INVEST IN THE AMERICA'S!

THe huge amounts of money wasted in Africa and Asia could be better utilized investing in our southern neighbors. I would rather see items made in our hemisphere, then in China or Vietnam. IF we had spent the money wasted in Afghanistan on building up MExico and fighting the drug lords down there, we would have a viable trading partner with a growing prosperous economy. Wayward Travel

In order to travel from France to Germany, the Navy required that I travel to Ohio (my home of record); this cost an additional $1800 to the US taxpayers. Bureaucratic systems that require such frivolous expenditures cannot help our economy, and I am certain that I am not the only service-member who gasps in horror at how much money our armed forces unnecessarily spend on this element of travel.
