Allow Individualized "Federal" Investments

Community Member kudos icon + Community member
TSP – The investment options are extremely limited. Allow a percentage of total investments to go into “wildcat” accounts by employees. My personal investments (IRAs, other accounts) have beat all the TSP funds by 10:1 over the past 15 years. Conservative investing is good but allow us some leeway to be more aggressive. Return on investment will be greater retirement accounts without having to depend on Social Security... more »

REFORM CONGRESS

Community Member kudos icon + Community member
A lot of boys and girls grow up and want to serve their country. These children see their parents working hard, paying their bills, being honest, and respecting each other. When some of these children grow up, they decide that they want to run for political office. Some of these big children get elected to the Congress in Washington DC.

WHAT HAPPENS??? A lot of these big children forget the importance of paying their... more »

Pass H.R. 25

Community Member kudos icon + Community member
H.R. 25 is also known as the Fair Tax. Rather than explain the details in 2000 characters or less, I'll simply suggest that everyone read the book by Neal Boortz. One feature is the abolishment of the I.R.S. This will save money in two obvious ways: first, closing a government agency; second, stopping members of congress from buying votes from corporations through creative changes to the current tax code. Companies... more »

Currently staff must re establish themselves as they move from state to state with each move. They must register their vehicles (with costs ranging from $300 $3000), get a new driver’s license (from $10 $50), and use administrative leave (costing... more »

Taxpayer's choice. Give the taxpayer a direct choice of what they want to fund.

Mandate a percentage each taxpayer's income that has to be contributed.

Create a list of organizations (i.e. DoD, Welfare or General Fund) that the tax payer can elect to "donate" to.

This way the organizations have to prove to the taxpayer that they are worth the money. If the organization proves worthly taxpayers will directly... more »

Government Transparency

Community Member kudos icon + Community member
There should be 1 Web Site that shows where all Federal Tax Money is spent every year.

Just like a business, the investors (taxpayers) deserve to know how their business (government) is performing.

The expenditures should be broken down as:
Medicare/Medicaid $XXXXXXXXXXXX
Social Security $XXXXXXXXXXX
Defense Spending $XXXXXXXXXXX
etc.

The Taxpayer could click on the above category and get specifics within that category.... more »

Allow ITINs for Employment

Community Member kudos icon + Community member
Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs) are assigned to taxpayers who are not eligible for social security numbers for various reasons, but a huge amount are assigned to illegal immigrants who want to report income and collect free money like additional child tax credit from the government. They are not allowed to use them to work under, which is ludicrous. They are forced to steal or make up social security... more »
