Paperwork reduction

As a complement to the Electronic Official Personnel Folder system- rather than having me print out each document to provide to my Administrative Officer, they should be able to access all of my information so that a paper copy is not required at my office for each document.

Additionally, leave forms should be able to be submitted online with the use of electronic signatures rather than printing these out every time.

DoD Contract Performance Measurement Sharing

Maintain contractor history by an oversight agency like DCMA and allow procurement offices to use this information for small business procurements. This addresses 2 issues: #1 small business distributorships acquire SBA contracts then subcontract the work. They do not have a proven history of performance and have issues with cost and schedule; #2, news small businesses get numerous contracts issued because the procurement... more »

Fema sends in an inspector, then SBA sends in an inspector. One thorough inspection would be more cost effective.

Fema sends out one mailing package, SBA sends out a mailing package. Combine this info into one, save more money.

Most FEMA and SBA employees know each... more »

More Competition

But the requirements to do so are too difficult to follow with the short contracting and award deadlines that we experience. We are more or less required to use 8(A) contactors which is run by the SBA on our projects. The SBA sets rules that necessitate... more »

Everyone is an SBA Spokesperson

I recommend that all SBA employees be provided up-to-date Public Relations training so the entire workforce has one voice.

The design and training should be organized by HQ through the assistance of the RCD's and then training extended to all field offices.

Training should include interview techniques and social media. If everyone at the SBA is acting as a spokesperson than information will be extended to current... more »
