Raising the probation timeline for new hires to two years will allow the government to remove unproductive employees. The increase time period will not cost the government any additional funding and provide managers with a better evaluation period of new hires.
When a staff member is hired there should be a stipulation that if the employee quits or gets fired before the completion of their probation they should be responsible to pay 50% of the money the government paid to hire, send to training, uniformed and background check to be completed.....
Rank all Federal employees. Any employee in the bottom 5% for 2 consecutive years can be fired.
Ranking can include exams relevent to their position if appicable, as well as performance thoughout the year.
Additionally, all new hires must go through a 2 year probation, and can be fired at any time during those 2 years.
