Excess mintage of U.S Presidents Dollars

I would like to see the sheer waste of the publics tax-dollars curtailed greatly... if not indeed stopped when it comes to the "waste" of money used to mint, distribute and store the U.S. Presidents Dollars.
Congress approved the mintage of these coins and congress should greatly curtail if not stop entirely the mintage of these coins entirely!

It costs over .33 cents just to manufacture a single coin! Then, there is... more »

Utilizing DIBWIZ only for Case Prep

Currently, we have to run numerous queries when working up cases and scan them into the files including a DIBWIZ. The DIBWIZ query is very informational regarding all aspects of the cases and has most of the required queries all compiled into one master query (the only one that is missing is the certified earnings records which really is not essential because that information is also within DIBWIZ). Therefore, we are... more »

Instead of a forced 6% reduction in pay a voluntary 32 hour week

In California the State workers endured the now famous "furlogh Fridays". However, when they were no longer forced to do this, many workers found that they wanted to continue to do this. Instead of a punitive 6% reduction, let's offer this option of a 4 day work week to the Federal Employees. I think that the GS-11's and above would readily volunteer for this while a 6% forced paycut might be catastrophic for the GS-6's... more »

Add a Batch Processing Rep Letter Feature to WKUP Files

3) Add a “Batch Processing” for Exhibit Letter to Representative/Clmt when case is worked up. We could run the “batch for all our cases in wkup and it would send to efile”. This would save lots of time from going in and out of each case individually and decrease backlog. This would improve the speed and efficiency of working up cases that would ultimately improve processing time and reduce backlog

Create a Unified System betwODAR/SSA regarding chgs re: claimant

4) Add a feature that changes claimant’s address in CPMS and at the field office. Currently, we have “to do items”. This is another feature that increases time for each case that is unnecessary. If the 1-800 number receives a phone call or the field office or us about an address change it should somehow be updated on all systems simultaneously. This would keep all areas of SSA up to date on the most current address... more »
