At the 131 National Cemeteries (and also at some State Cemeteries) we have Kiosks that are used by visitors to search for and get the location of the gravesite and also print a map to walk to the location. The printer is a thermal printer that prints from a spool. When the paper runs out no one knows it has run out until a vistor volunteers that informatin to Cemetery Staff. NATIONAL CEMETERY IMPROVED MAPPING AND VOICE GUIDE

The 131 National Cemteries have very crude maps printed from 83 visitor Kiosks. The maps are very low resolution thermal maps and hard to follow and very hard to ready by any visitors with less than perfect vision.

The maps should be improved using recommendations from experts in "Readability' to design a map that is easy to read for all (even color blind and low vision individuals). As an option the map could be sent... more »

The eBenefits.com system will be getting a Pre-Need application in which Veterans (and eligible family) will be able to apply to have their eligiblity for burial and memorial (headstone/marker) benefits determined well in advance of their death.
