Both the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) & the Military Health System (MHS) have vastly more expensive healthcare delivery costs than the private sector. Each has an annual budget of over 50 billion dollars meaning that over $2B/veteran is spent on health care in the VA and roughly $5B/MHS beneficiary. Pretty ridiculous, eh? Stop Selling Soda and Junk Food in Federal Buildings

Similar to Michelle Obama's push for getting schools to provide healthier eating options to children, the federal government should also promote good nutrition by limiting the availability of unhealthy food in federal facilities. Healthier Federal Employees, More Government Savings

DHS HQ is located in a suburban area of Washington, DC, where one has to walk over a mile if they plan on eating lunch off campus. There is one cafeteria on campus which serves almost exlcusively hamburgers, pizza, philly cheesesteaks, chicken tenders, soda...you get the point.
