Reform the Combined Federal Campaign: eliminate paper waste

Reform the Combined Federal Campaign: eliminate paper waste and tremendous cost of personnel oversight by conducting the campaign across the federal government using solely the e-giving system. Donors could search charities online and complete electronic pledge forms, thereby eliminating the costs associated with printing thousands of each. This would also drastically reduce time and costs associated with preparing... more »

There is an impression among agencies system wide that they must ‘use or lose’ the balance or the following fiscal year their budget will be drastically reduced. An alternative that would reduce the rush to spend at the end of the fiscal year is simple; donate a percentage of the unspent funds to CFC with the balance... more »

Cut Costs and Hoopla Related to the Combined Federal Campaign

Every year we have the CFC, so only the newest Federal employees do not know the drill. Everyone else is either going to contribute or not going to contribute. The Campaign itself does not influence employees' decisions to contribute or not; their own financial situations and their charitable inclinations influence those decisions, so the amount of hoopla surrounding the Campaign really could be reduced to save Federal... more »
