Hours Spent On Paper Work - Man Hours Initiative (MHI)

Too many man hours are spent on paper work. We have many systems that help streamline this, however, they are still time consuming within their own right, and still produce duplicate and triplicate copies.

I understand that we need accountability and record keeping, but we need to develop a system and change the forms process to combine forms or increase the electronic the use and access of filing systems.

UNIFORM ALLOWANCE AND RECYCLING

At the end of every year, your uniform allowance becomes use or lose.

Minimize the allowance slightly and allow for rollover of unused moneys, and people would feel less compelled to spend it, and may even promote the saving of unused moneys.

Also implement uniform recycling.

No outside use without benefit to military on military lands

Other Agencies in the US Government do environmental documentation to decide if they will utilize military land for their use. Unfortunately these often conflict with needs on already constrained property and will not come to fruition. They also do feesibility studies which costs money. DO Away With Use or Lose Leave and apply it towards Retirement

Allow service members to save their leave as they desire. Do not take away any excess leave based on their decision to not take any during that Fiscal year. Instead do not offer to buy it back but allow them to save it unconditionally and apply it toward their departure or retirement of the military.
