Colleges Should Charge In-State Tuition for GI Bill

I have to admit that recently my family was the subject of an unknown to us huge waste of government money. Since my wife and I are both veterans, our tuition is paid through the GI Bill. Since we don't receive the bill for our tution, we never knew we were being charged as out of state residents, even though we were both living in my home of record state.

In State Tuition for Illegal Immigrants

The federal government should not support and state's tuition program if it involves an illegal alien. This illegal alien program to pay in state tuition fees no matter where they live is offensive. My children can not go to another state and pay in state level fees so why should they. Put an end to perpetual students on welfare

Stop funding the perpetual students on welfare. It seems there is a loop-hole in the public assistance programs surrounding continuing education such that some become perpetual students in order to extend welfare benefits. Scenarios such as intentionally obtaining a degree in a field for which no local jobs exist, failing or missing a course that is required for graduation, and/or changing majors after a few semesters.... more »

With the amount of grants and loans the government gives to students we could stucture it better to pay for more individuals to complete college with less debt and a better outcome after graduation.
