Government Savings

if you accept and encourage the use of digital signatures, you will eliminate the need for so much printed paper. the need for continuing to find more NARA space will be reduced because now you will be saving a electronic storage device i.e. DVD/Tape instead of storage boxes.
so no need to print out paper: toner, printer, recycling, buying NARA boxes, having to ship them to storage, plus the space savings at NARA all... more »

Eliminate/Reduce print job seperator sheets

Every time an action is printed in FPPS a job seperator sheet is printed at the beginning and end of that job. This means that a stack of 100 processed actions will print out as 100 print job cover pages, 100 sf-50's, and 100 print job final pages. This creates two sheets of waste for every one printed sheet of useble documentation.
Print jobs of actions that are released to print jointly should process through FPPS as... more »

The whole course is online, the certificate can be viewed online. Upper management is able to access the training... more »

We could send this in encrypted emails if necessary or have a program that blocks out most or all of the Social Security Numbers for security purposes.... more »

Utilizing multifunctional devices and removing desktop devices

Significantly reduce costs for copiers and printers (including toner). Some Agency’s program offices purchase about $25,000 in toner cartridges each and every month. Sometimes this is approximately half of all the supply store purchases. Replace network printers with leased, multifunctional devices. These multifunctional devices provide the same, if not better, performance. In addition to scanning and faxing, they... more »
