I am a Summer Intern at HUD and a Full-time student at the University of Maryland. In our dorms at UMD, we have sensor toilets that detects how long you've been on the toilet. Although this may sound silly, the toilet accurately predicts what type of waste you are emitting (putting it kindly). The toilet then determines how much water is needed to flush away the waste. Help environment and save money

Instill low flow toilets and urinals in high area use bathrooms throughout VA. Add water flow restrictors to existing faucets. Because these are high use areas, the toilets will pay for themselves in 3-6 months and then will start saving money. They will also reduce water usage significantly. Faucet flow restrictors will help save money right away and are very easy to install.
