Telework should be required for those who have signed telework contracts in the event the Government office needs to shutdown due to weather related issues or other issues which would prevent the employee from traveling to the office.

Explore options to melt snow piled up in the parking areas, convert it to steam and generate electricity in the winter. This is the 21st century-there must be someone at MIT who can build an industrial grade machine to do this that would take up a couple of parking spaces at each office complex. in my area contractors a installing side walks all over. if they would install them 6-10 feet from the road the snow plows would not push the snow onto the sidewalks eliminating the need to push the snow just moved off the road way. thus saving money on gas, wear and tear on equiptment and save employee time/wages because instead of driving 1 MPH moving mounds of snow, they can cruze cleairing the light unpacked snow... more »
