Stop Minting Penny and Nickel

Call it the Small Change Act, the most a person would ever have to contribute on a single transaction would be 9 cents.

I once read that the cost of making the penny and nickel, both outweigh the actual value of the coin.

My proposal is similar to what some banks are starting to offer, in a keep the change program.

GOING GREEN

With our world today, our natural resources are diminishing, and we are trying to do what we can to reserve them.
Solar panels could be built, and save money spent on energy throughout time. Small solar panels can power small things throughout our facilities, if the government does not want to spend millions on huge solar panels. Flexibility in Contracts

While there are contracts that are meant to promote good business and help raise the platform (small business, disadvantaged etc) the contracts do not always allow for the best expertise or price. In addition an increased allowance in "off the shelf" products would be beneficial. The market should be truly competitive and not a hand out.
