Within the AF, eliminate the AFMC headquarters currently located at Wright Patterson AFB. It is a redundant link in the Acquistion Chain, and does not bring any additional value added to the process. In my time in the government I have seen contractors time and time again pull shenanigans. These contractors are wasteful. Time and time again, they somehow require much more money and time than they originally bid to do the job. They are taking advantage of Uncle Sam's now shallow pockets. Multiple Travel Agencies

When booking travel we have to enter the request for authorization to travel through one online service but actually book air travel through a travel agent. The online service supports booking travel directly through them. Using two services adds an aditional $31.00 per trip.

The department should look for a contract that maintains the efficiency of online travel managment but reduces the duplication of costs.
