Alternating - Light Bulbs (Turn off every other bulb).

We may be using Fluorescent light bulbs, but we should continue to alternate bulb use like we did prior to using Fluorescent light bulbs. We should keep some lights bulbs Off while others light bulbs are On (alternating bulbs). Thus still providing enough lighting to do the job while conserving Electricity; Reducing lighting where necessary.

Reduce paper costs by going to electronic databases

The cost of paper can be reduced by going to an electronic database. Currently we print and reprint a database for distribution several times a month. This takes away several man hours and uses a lot of paper. This can be reduced if we go to a computer read only file. Most of the places our database goes to have computer access anyway. I'm a 27 year old US patent examiner. I joined the US Patent Office last year. Since then, not only have I realized the gravity of what goes on where I work, but I've realized that because of this, beneficial changes here can mean beneficial changes across our nation. Combine supply systems

How many supply systems does the Gov't use? There is GSA, but agencies have there own supply departments. From this Save web page, I found that NASA contacts with Lockheed for their supplies. One may think that by using the whole contracting power of the USA that the best deal could be made since the gov't would be buying in volume.
