SAVE Award 2011 Ideas

Show updates, throughout the year, on the status of SAVE suggestions. Currently, we only hear about the status of a few top suggestions. You do a disservice to everyone participating when you do not show anything on the status of the bulk of suggestions. It would make people more willing to participate and lead to more great ideas if they knew that their ideas were both appreciated and being implemented.

Currently only one mysteriously selected winner in the SAVE program gets to meet the President. Recommend that this be changed so that the Top 5 or perhaps the Top 10 winners would meet the President. This could help increase participation in the SAVE program and lead to more money saving suggestions from someone who would not have participated.

Require all agencies to provide periodic (quarterly) feedback on the status of all suggestions related to their agency. Those suggestions being implemented with est savings, those being studied further, those not being implemented (and why). Publish on this website. There are numerous similar suggestions on the website. Recommend they be consolidated and as long as they are not an exact copy of someone else's both individuals should receive appropriate credit or the earliest one gets the credit. The problem is that the duplicates are watering down the voting. Three similar suggestions may have 15, 8, and 10 votes - where if they were one it would have 33 votes. Future events... more »

The Save Program, IRS Commissioners Cost Savings program, and the Employee Suggestion Program (ESP) ideas should be shared with CONGRESS and the SENATE with upper management stating clearly what the cost to implement these suggestions is along with the savings anticipated for the first year. When we input a COMMENT and the comment is accepted display that is accepted and then step back to the main page thus elinating users from having to waste time to get back to where they started.

Save TRILLIONS: Properly and Sincerely investigate each and every suggestion made in the SAVE program and those that were submitted earlier in the year to the IRS comissioners and others in high places include those submitted in the Employee Suggestion Program (ESP) in all agencies and adopt ALL OF THEM THAT SHOW SAVINGS TO THE GOVERNMENT.
