As there is this big push to get out of regulating business. Let's get rid of the Patent & Trademark Office. If business is so good at self regualting and policing, let them handle these issues themselves as well! This is not something the government should be involved in.

reduce regulation and oversight

it seems the threshold for value added vs fraud waste and abuse avoided was crossed years ago. the expense of laws, regulations and directives regarding federal acquisition designed to prevent fraud waste and abuse are likely far exceeding the benefits. we could perhaps regulate simply by having tougher penalties for fraud waste and abuse, penalties that are surely motivators to prevent it, as well as rewards for highlighting... more »

Eliminate Environmental Regulation Overlap

When a landowner or government agency wants to get a permit to dredge or fill a wetland, is it really necessary to have 4 or 5 government agencies review the project? I think a lot of times there is too much overlap in environmental regulation. The amount of government time spent reviewing the smaller scale impacts can be overwhelming and very costly when you consider the number of people involved in the permit review... more »
