Use smaller size paper to reduce waste

For check in's and information sheets for veterans printe the needed information on smaller sheet sized such as 4 by 8. Often printed information for daily VA Medical Center infromation from patients to office use only use one fourth or half of a sheet of paper. One way to reduce this cost would be to print that information on smaller pieces of paper.

Urgent CT scan Vista display board

During a normal work day radiology request are flying off the printer to be done urgently or to be scheduled. If the ER or inpatient request needs to be done right away for CT scan, a lot of times it may be overlooked. The provider who placed the order must contact CT scan to get the scan done right away. decrease paper waste

Every morning at approximately 0100, all of the unit's orders for the previous day print out. This happens for all of our inpatient units. We do not use these paper copies, and the same information is actually verified in the computer. The paper copies are placed immediately in the shredder.
