We could reduce the amount of paper we buy if we change all printers in the federal gov't to print DOUBLE SIDED vs. only printing on one side per sheet. This could be done by having IT set all printers to default to print on both sides of paper (employee could manually switch to single sided if needed). Copier&Printer Default Settings Set to B&W and not high quality

All USG agencies should require that the default settings for copiers, printers, and network printing software be to print in black and white and at a medium or standard quality level. Doing this would reduce the amount of expensive toner purchased.
