Eliminate paper receipts

For GSA smartpay charge cards, paper receipts are required to be maintained for three years in folders organized by reconciliation date. Additional paperwork is also required for many purchases. Most of my receipts are now electronic, and I end up printing out the receipts for the folder. Print receipts only upon request- use the "Nudge Theory"!!!

No matter what I mail/ship/purchase at the post office, I receive a receipt that is at least a foot long. In some cases two feet...I turn around like most everyone else there and deposit it in the trash or recycle bin. This is totally unnecessary and a HUGE waste of paper and money.

Not the mention, the receipt really doesn't serve much of a purpose. It's not like it substitutes for the other receipts you get (e.g.... more »

Allow use of electronic receipt submission in GovTrip

We use GovTrip for travel authorizations and vouchers. In the system, there is a function that allows for uploading receipts electronically, by either attaching a pdf or faxing to create a pdf. But the agency is not using this feature. Instead, we have to provide a copy of our receipts to another staff member who provides that copy to the processing center, who apparently does not have access to the receipts we can upload... more »
