Skill Database for Agencies

My idea is to create an Government skill and/or Project database for use for internal agencey projects.

What problem are you trying to solve?

Inefficient computer security practices = wasted resources

Determine a federated approach to computer startup scripts and system scanning which maintains, if not improves, the current level of security on desktops/laptops. If a desktop/laptop takes 30 minutes to get to a usable state on a daily basis due to startup scripts which are intended to assure security measures are in place and have not been compromised it equates to approximately 2 weeks of unproductive billable time... more »

Step Up UnmannedVehicle Tech to Minimize # of HumanCasualties

Increase R&D and deployment of Unmanned Vehicles (airborne, aircraft, seacraft, landcraft, any terrain) and remote-controlled mechanisms so as to minimize human deployment and to decrease the number of human casualties.

Decreasing the number of humans deployed will keep military family cohesion intact, improve military family happiness, and thereby increase military morale.

Social Security Administration

Convert to a 9 hour 4 day work week

Have all Federal, state and local agencies including schools should convert to a 9 hour, four day work week and everyone has Friday’s off. This benefits, the environment, the worker and the government. It worked in Utah.
Reasons:
everyone will conserve oil on transportation to& from work and on government vehicles,
less traffic and potential accidents,
road and vehicle maintenance would be reduced,

Enforce the Telework Mandate

By enforcing (really enforcing) telework for non-essential, eligible, and related personnel, the Government will save tremendously on the abundance of unused space, parking, transportation, electricity, fuel consumption, security, etc. We desperately need to ENFORCE this mandate which has the potential to cut costs significantly.
