SAVE PAPER/TIME BY ALLOWING VETERANS ACCESS TO MEDICAL RECORDS

I would like to propose that we allow the Veteran to have access to their own medical record electronically. Currently the Veterans' have to ask Release of Information to make copies for them which is very inefficient not to mention frustrating. Stop Printing Time Cards

Every 2 weeks, a time card spreadsheet is automatically printed for every civilian employee from the time & accounting software system used. They are distributed to each employee who fills them out, has their supervisor sign it, and then they are returned to the respective timekeeper. He inputs this information into the software system and then must keep the hard copy for 6 years.

Privacy Act Statement

Have a person with whatever agency they are dealing with (in my case Social Security) sign or attest to a statement that they have read and understand the Privacy Act Statement. Fax this signed statement into the folder or document that the person attested to understanding this document. This would prevent us from having to waste paper to tell them their right to privacy.
