Eliminate IDRS CC TRPRT it is a waste of paper and time. I can not tell you how many times I have executed this command code and received a packet of information that I could get electronically.

Provide IT departments tablet units, such as Cisco Cius, Apple IPAD, Samsung Galaxy or Blackberry Tablet units which may be used to load presentation and other meeting materials on to stop the use of handouts in meetings. Tablets with wireless capability not only eliminate the handout paper, but also the note taking papers which either clutter desks or fill recycling containers.

Nix the fax machines already.
It is unnecessary to print a file only to send it to another office where they scan it and input it into their system --- and then print it to send to another office, and so on and so.
This process can be just as easily done through email attachments or file server databases. The issue isn't utilizing new software --- but rather, mandating the use, by all employees, of current software.

Department of Health and Humans Services still uses paper pay slips for pay and W2's (for USPHS). This should go electronically (like the armed services did years ago). Not only would it be green to decrease paper, avoid postal service charges, but any printing cost would be accrued by the staff member. It feels like a no brainer, but yet, I still receive mine in the mail EVERY month.
