Reduce paper - stop use of printouts in meetings

Provide IT departments tablet units, such as Cisco Cius, Apple IPAD, Samsung Galaxy or Blackberry Tablet units which may be used to load presentation and other meeting materials on to stop the use of handouts in meetings. Tablets with wireless capability not only eliminate the handout paper, but also the note taking papers which either clutter desks or fill recycling containers.

Institutions print out call-outs / change sheets for inmates to view every day. One copy may contain up to 25 pages of entries. As many as 75 copies are made each day for posting in various areas for inmates to read. This accounts for as much as 13125 pages of printed material for one week at one institution. If you two side print the document, it still amounts to 6563 printed pages of material per week for one institution.... more »

Digital T.O.

All T.O. should be digital, but the current ones we have are slowing us down and is more a nuisance than a problem solver. We should switch to a digital system that is easier to find T.O.s. The one we have is complicated, just think simple Adobe Acrobat/IPAD or something similar. IPAD is easy to handle, having the T.O’s all in one application in alphabetical order or search and find would make things much easier. Just... more »
