Make SAVE Award website more easy-to-use

The SAVE Award is a great idea; unfortunately, the website gets completely bogged down with the sheer number of ideas being submitted (many duplicative or simply impossible on their face). I'd suggest implementing some sort of moderation/oversight process so that certain ideas (i.e. "eliminate the Dept of Education" or "Eliminate the Dept of Veterans Affairs") are removed from the site. Eliminate overlap: Transparency (ie. Master Task Database)

To reduce overlap in tasks and increase productivity, have every agency/department list their projects by keyword into a master database (i.e. refuge + surveys) to get a true view of where the redundancies lie. There can also be web access that is available to Federal employees and contractors so we can view things like what other research is being conducted simoultaeously and formulate interagency teams and build off... more »

reduce regulation and oversight

it seems the threshold for value added vs fraud waste and abuse avoided was crossed years ago. the expense of laws, regulations and directives regarding federal acquisition designed to prevent fraud waste and abuse are likely far exceeding the benefits. we could perhaps regulate simply by having tougher penalties for fraud waste and abuse, penalties that are surely motivators to prevent it, as well as rewards for highlighting... more »

How does one assist its agency with reducing federal spending, when a subset of the agency’s leadership forces subordinate federal employees to violate the Anti-Deficiency Act and retaliates against the subordinate employee(s) by issuing them a notice of suspension for Insubordination/Refusal to Obey Orders/Defiance of Authority for the alleged non-compliance of violating 31 U.S.C. 1314 (a)(1)?
