Enervate Veteran's Preference

Veteran's Preference causes agencies to pass on better candidates and hire veterans. While this may be a good thing for veterans and for armed services recruitment, it costs agencies (and taxpayers) dearly.

Weaken Veteran's Preference by making it easier for agencies to pass on veterans instead of jumping through a score of bureaucratic hoops, re-posting jobs all together, or simply hiring the veteran instead of their... more »

Mandate Deliquent Federal Tax Pymts as Condition of Employment

"Nearly 100,00 federal civilian employees owed $1 billion in unpaid federal income taxes in 2009, according to the IRS. The number of delinquent federal employees has remained consistent since 2004, but the amount owed has soared nearly 70 percent from $600 million to $1 billion."

Cost Savings:

Significant personnel time will be saved across all agencies if one... more »

Eliminate Federal Employee Longevity Awards

TARGET: All Executive Branch Agencies

Executive Branch agencies often differ in the approach and distribution of these awards. For example, the US Coast Guard and the US Secret Service have provided pins and/or paper certificates, while in another example, the National Marine Fisheries Service has gone... more »
