Post Defense Reutilization and Surplus offerings online

Department of Defense and other agencies will have surplus items. Allowing other agencies to put in requests, and posting of items available online within, and to other USG agencies would allow disposal and reuse of items more readily. Items that are not disposed of that way could be offered for on-line auction, raising money for the USG and savings on the cost of disposal, transport, etc.

Online auctions of surplus equipment

There should be an easy method to get the salvage value from used machinery, furniture and similar materials rather than just throwing it away. An online auction such as GovDeals should be used to get the residual value of these items, but no one seems to know how to do this. Items with a purchase price in excess of $10,000 should be sold individually at a commerical online action, such as eBay.
