Provide Medicaid/Medicare reimb. to Certified Nurse Practioners

Certified Nurse Practioners should be reimbursed by the federal government for providing medicaid/medicare services.

With a limited scope of practice, lower cost, far lower instances of mistakes, prevention-based care model, Certified Nurse Practioners (CNPs) should be reimbursed. This would lead to significant savings in an area that will only become more expensive as the population ages.

I strongly feel nurses should NOT have access to veterans service connection status (as on their face page in cprs). I feel it creates a bias as many civilian nurses are not fully educated on what it truly means to be service connected. Knowing a veteran's sc percentage does not change the type of care we give. Shift work in Nursing

My unit requires nurses to work shifts with a specific off tour. I feel the way the department schedules nurses results in many many sick calls, and increases the amount of overtime the VA pays out. For example, our unit will schedule you during the day, but then have to "double back" into a night shift 8 hours later. Or work a pm shift ending at midnight, and have to be back at 730 am.
