Require NARA to charge for Military Records

This is a charge that is long overdue. Why is it that I can request as many records as I want at one time without paying a penny for it? The least they could do is charge $1.00 or $2.00 per record. I know it's not much and I would be willing to pay the charge. Let NARA start earning some money off of it's holdings instead of giving things away for free. Digitize SORNs to Comply with Paperwork Reduction Act

The Privacy Act requires each agency to publish notice of its systems of records in the Federal Register. This notice is referred to as a system of records notice (SORN).

NARA Document Retention Costs/Standards

It’s time to look at updating document retention policies, what we must keep, and how materials are provided to NARA. Everything has to be printed out, placed in files, placed in special boxes, labeled a certain way, and then the agency has to pay NARA to store items until they are destroyed or accessioned into NARA’s holdings per the agency retention policy.
