Warfare is changing and we are currently acting like the British did during our Revolutionary war, claiming that the enemy is "cheating" by not playing by the same rules of engagement as we do. The Army, Air Force, Navy, (Marines) have been necessary as 4 distinct services for good reason, but as tech has developed the roles have blended so much that the reasoning is becoming less and less valid. I suggest that a ten year plan be drafted to begin merging the services in the US Defence Service.
