Establish a fee for SSN Cards

Currently there is no charge for a Social Security number (SSN) and card. If I have to pay a fee to get a driver's license or ID, why are SSN cards free?

My suggestion is to implement a $150 fee for new SSN cards and a $200 fee for replacement cards. All income from these fees will be allocated to the Social Security Trust Fund.

Stop Minting Penny and Nickel

Call it the Small Change Act, the most a person would ever have to contribute on a single transaction would be 9 cents.

I once read that the cost of making the penny and nickel, both outweigh the actual value of the coin.

My proposal is similar to what some banks are starting to offer, in a keep the change program.

switch from Income Tax to Consumption tax

It has been proven that consumption taxes are more efficient than income taxes. This was, we get nearly all of the pay, in which we earn, but the things we buy become a little more expensive.

If our pay checks become higher, we have a higher incentive to spend. People will spend more of their savings and consumption will increase, which will ultimately increase revenue from taxes.

Flat Tax

Change the tax laws to a flat tax of 10%. Eliminate all deductions, credits, subsidies and everything else that someone can write off. This makes it fair for everyone, and has the potential to get companies to come back to America to produce their products. It also frees up the IRS to go after people who don't pay taxes, instead of disbursing millions of dollars in refunds that shouldn't be disbursed.
