Trim the Fat at the top

Instead of making cuts where it hurts at the prisons, the cuts need to be made at the central and regional offices. When you cut staff at the prison it creates overtime and is a safety factor for both inmates and staff. By making cuts at the top you save more by not having to fill the spots with overtime at time and a half pay. Government Waste-Landscaping

Landscaping, such as flower bed and shrub plantings, are expensive to plant and much more expensive to maintain in a sightly manner. I suggest the government stop wasting money on landscaping. If landscaping (installation and maintenance) was eliminated from government contracts, $$Million$$ would be saved. Incentive to Spend

I work in contracting and it is very clear to me and everyone I've talked to that there is an incentive to spend all the money given, not save it. It's called End of Fiscal Year Spending. If you don't use it, you lose it. This is a problem with the way the budgets are created and dispersed.
