Merge DoD Components back into one standing army

The Army, Air Force, Navy, (Marines) have been necessary as 4 distinct services for good reason, but as tech has developed the roles have blended so much that the reasoning is becoming less and less valid. I suggest that a ten year plan be drafted to begin merging the services in the US Defence Service. Snow Melt - just a grand wishlist :)

Explore options to melt snow piled up in the parking areas, convert it to steam and generate electricity in the winter. This is the 21st century-there must be someone at MIT who can build an industrial grade machine to do this that would take up a couple of parking spaces at each office complex. The power generated would be fed back to the machine to melt more snow. Employ this all over USA at least in public places.... more »

SAVE money on TDY; institute Webinars and "Live" media

The federal government spends an exorbitant amount of funds every year on travel and TDY. Most of the funds spent on TDY missions could be used to offset other costs for more pressing issues. There are reasons that many directors and leaders need to travel in order to satisfy mission requirements, but a majority of TDY missions for many others were/are unnecessary.
