Take back government frequent flyer miles, and hotel points. Let the miles, and points go directly back to the government. Use the miles for government travel, and the points for government lodging.

Regarding miles, the government pays more money for travel, so the government should get more miles per trip. These miles can be banked for each Agency and used solely for the purpose of federal travel.

Corporate Airline Rewards: use travel to earn free flights

Establish (where possible) an account for business rewards travel that allows us (the U.S. goverment) to use airline travel miles to book free business related trips without taking frequent flyer miles away from the individual traveler's frequent flyer account(s). All business travel could be booked with the miles credited to the business rewards account. Then, we could use the business rewards account to book free flights.... more »
