Let Employees Book Cheap Flights & Get Reimbursed

I'm not sure how everyone else does it, but at the State Department we have to book our flights through a travel system called E2, run by a company called Carlson-Wagonlit. Besides being difficult to use, this system charges ridiculous amounts for flights. Save over $500 million annually limit exec. air travel

I have noticed over the years that there has been alot of military airlift missions from our Command. The travel is mostly going from Norfolk, VA to Washington, D.C. Which is roughly a 45 minute flight, as opposed to a 3 hour drive. That is great for time savings, but not financial savings.

Flights from Technical Training to First Duty Station

When I left tech school at Lackland, I tried to get a flight from Albany, NY my hometown to London Heathrow airport my first base RAF Mildenhall.
But the CTO office said I would only be allowed a government flight from San Antonio to London. I had to purchase a flight from Albany to San Antonio. Then fly on government funds from San Antonio to London. I lose fund, and government funds are lost. It would have been cheaper... more »

"Training" Flights Home To See Relatives

I was a contract egress mechanic for six years after leaving the Navy. I worked at 3 flight training bases to include two in Mississippi and one in Florida. The pilots in training had a certain curriculum they had to follow according to the aircraft platform they were heading to. Make Space A Travel more Accessible

Work on making Space A travel for active duty and possible retired military families more available. Establish a easier booking system and allow these members to pay much smaller fees but be able to use flights accordingly to get from point A to point B with agreed sacrifices that comes with flying on Space A flights.
