Eliminate Air Force Fitness Assessment Cell

The Air Force is paying civilians to conduct bi-annual fitness testing of military members. This shows a complete lack of confidence in the integrity of Airman and is a serious waste of resources. Immediately stand down the fitness assessment cells and return fitness testing responsibility to military members. We can control nuclear weapons but can't be trusted to count push-ups? open up grassy fields to exercise -- better health!!!

At the Suitland Federal Center, the grassy fields that could be used for exercise, walking, and sports are OFF LIMITS per GSA. There is no explanation as to why there are DO NOT WALK signs on the grassy fields. Employees are forced to jog and play sports in the harder to get to and less safe surrounding neighborhood, which takes more time away from exercise. The requirement for "break-time" in the Federal workplace should be modified to permit employees more flexibility in how they put in their 7.5 work hours. Currently, the standards say you can't combine your 30 minute breaks with the 2 "15 minute" breaks.
